About Rowan
I’m a singing tutor with over ten years of experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, majoring in voice. I specialise in helping students prepare for auditions, competitions, and stage performances. My teaching covers a range of styles including Classical, Broadway, Pop-Rock, and Music Theatre. I focus on developing strong diction, expanding vocal range, and improving vocal agility. Choosing the right repertoire is important, so I work closely with students to find songs that showcase their strengths. Dramatic interpretation is another key area, helping singers connect emotionally with their material and captivate their audience. I’ve worked with school students, drama majors, and adults returning to music after a break. Each student receives personalised attention to meet their unique goals and needs. My approach balances technical skill-building with creative expression. Together, we build solid technique, confident stage presence, and true vocal artistry. Whether you’re new to singing or aiming for the next big performance, I’m here to support your journey and help you shine.

For adult beginners, I emphasise gentle, steady progress and encourage exploring different genres to find what resonates. Advanced teens benefit from deeper genre exploration and improvisation to stretch their creative limits. Both groups use tools like lyric analysis sheets and vocal journals to understand songs better and track their growth. Digital tools like DAWs and melody trainers support practice and help develop pitch and timing. I guide you in experimenting with sounds and styles, so your voice becomes more expressive and flexible. Creativity flourishes when you feel free to explore and express yourself fully. The goal is to make singing fun, inspiring, and personal. With focused practice and storytelling, you’ll grow not just as a singer, but as an artist. I’m here to support your journey every step of the way.
