About Sadie
I am a guzheng (Chinese zither) player with over 13 years of experience, and I hold the Grade 10 certificate—the highest level of guzheng proficiency in China. I have been recognized in the Dunhuang Cup Guzheng Competition with a Third Prize and an Excellence Award. I have performed in solo and ensemble settings, and I understand how to adapt my teaching to each student’s pace and goals. My lessons are patient, structured, and culturally rich, ideal for both beginners and more advanced learners. I teach in both English and Chinese, and I genuinely care about each student’s progress and confidence.

My classes are tailored to each student’s individual goals — whether you're a complete beginner learning basic finger techniques or an advanced player refining expressive interpretation.

I provide clear feedback, customized practice strategies, and supporting materials like sheet music and audio recordings. Lessons are available in English or Chinese, either online (Zoom) or in-person (if local). I welcome students of all ages and backgrounds who are curious about the beauty of the guzheng.
