About Nic

Hey everyone!

I'm Nic Alexander, a reality TV producer, digital media creator, and marketing specialist. I've had the privilege of working on popular shows like Netflix's The Ultimatum, Bravo's Summer House, and VH1's Black Ink Crew. Beyond that, I've helped develop numerous projects that have been picked up by networks and production companies—so keep an eye out for them on your screens soon!

I'm thrilled to connect with you and help turn your vision for reality TV, documentaries, or digital content into reality. Whether you're aiming to pitch your own reality show, produce a compelling documentary, or dive into creating viral content, you'll find all the tools and insights you need right here!

About the lesson

In my class on reality television and viral media, I draw from my hands-on experience working with leading entertainment networks like VH1, MTV, Bravo, and Netflix, as well as digital media startups like NEOU Fitness. My approach to teaching is dynamic and highly practical, emphasizing real-world industry standards while encouraging innovation. I believe in equipping students with the creative and technical skills needed to thrive in an ever-evolving media landscape.

My teaching method involves a blend of interactive discussions, case studies, and project-based learning. I guide students through every stage of content creation—from ideation and casting to production and post-production—highlighting the elements that contribute to both successful reality television and viral media.

A typical lesson plan includes an exploration of current trends, analysis of successful shows or viral campaigns, hands-on exercises in storytelling, and technical training on platforms and tools that drive the industry today. Students also have the opportunity to work on projects that mirror real-life scenarios, allowing them to build a portfolio by the end of the course.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my dual experience in traditional and digital media, having navigated both network television and digital startup environments. This unique perspective enables me to help students not only understand the mechanics of television production but also adapt to the fast-paced, experimental world of viral content.

This course is ideal for students pursuing degrees in media, communications, or film, as well as professionals looking to enhance their skills in the entertainment industry. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, my class provides a solid foundation in reality TV production and viral content creation.
