About Weiqing
I have been systematically training in Chen style Taiji since 2005. Chen style is the most original style. All other styles (Yang, Sun, Wu, Woo) are derived from Chen style. I have studied from the very best teachers, Grand Master Chen XiaoWang and Chen XiaoXing. I have also gone to China to study the art in the village where Chen style was created and still performed by villagers. Now I want to share what I have learned with anyone who's interested in Taiji, whether for health or spiritual benefits.

The essence of Taiji does not lie in long complicated forms, but in the proper body structure even in the simplest of the moves. That's why I designed my lessons to focus on single or short moves, but keep drilling deeper and deeper to reveal the requirements on each section of your body. Come learn all about Taiji through this single elegant move of Swallow Touching Water, at the ease of your home. Monthly sessions include 3 30-min. lessons per week. During each session, I will review each student's move and provide suggestions specifically tailored to your situation. All lessons are online so you can learn at ease from home. Perfect! I attempted Tai Chi on YouTube and I even took a group class a few years ago, but I never “got it”. After the passing of my mom (in Dec 2025 whom I cared for for over 13 years), it seemed like Tai chi was calling to me.
During my very first class with Weiquin, I understood why I felt that way. (Spoiler alert: I’m so thankful I found Weiquing!!!!)
Weiquin’s calm reassuring voice along with his immense knowledge of the art of Tai Chi guided me to a “groundedness” that I haven’t felt in years!!!
I can’t help be beam because it seems like during and after his class, my “soul” was literally smiling! I can’t recommend Weiquing enough! He is a wonderful teacher and he masterfully breaks down individual moves into bite size pieces so even a beginner like me understands. You may not think that 30 minutes is enough time to practice. but rest assured -you will be “full” and satisfied when you finish his class…and perhaps your soul might even be smiling too- just like mine.
