About Anna
Hi, my name is Anna and I was born and grew up in Kyiv, Ukraine. As someone who grew up fully immersed in the Ukrainian language, I understand the cultural richness and beauty behind it, and I love helping others discover that for themselves. Also, I'm passionate about learning new cultures, getting to know new languages, and connecting with people all around the world. Teaching Ukrainian is especially important to me because it's not just a language - it's a part of our identity, history, and resilience, which is an evident trait of Ukraine as a nation. I'm a university student in Sydney, Australia, and through meeting so many amazing people from a variety of backgrounds, I'm certain that via language we can connect more deeply with people and exchange our beautiful cultures. Perfect! I started a few months back just knowing the cyrillic alphabet and some basic phrases, but didn't know know how to progress further. Lessons with Anna have been such a valuable time - many aspects of ukrainian language are hard to grasp for native English speakers but she introduces them in a stepwise way, building upon what you already know, then challenges you to put them into practise with exercises to speak and read. Through this you will feel after every lesson that you make progress. She really is a natural teacher, very organised and also a very warm and friendly person, I would definitely recommend Anna to anyone wanting to learn this language!

Anna is a great tutor, she teaches concepts well by going through important notes and then quizzes on it later to check up how her students are understanding the topics. She teaches chemistry in a way where a struggling student can easily understand, also providing study cards and methods for later revision. I as her student feel more confident in chemistry after taking her lessons. Her lessons are also affordable for students. Anna is a good chemistry tutor overall, highly recommend.
