About Melanie
I'm a supportive person who is dedicated to educating students thoroughly, as well as being a performer. The wellbeing of all students is at the heart of my teaching. I have several background-check documents, and I'm a member of the Musicians Union.

Teaching regularly since the Autumn 2005. I enjoy teaching some Musicianship as well during a Cello/Piano lesson, because it is important for the student to understand what they are playing. (While a student myself I studied Kodály Musicianship and Dalcroze Eurhythmics.) I enjoy building on good posture, instrumental technique, understanding and musical expression. Lessons are either 45 minutes or 60 minutes. Beginner to Conservatoire level - Cello Beginner to Intermediate level - Piano All ages welcome! My qualifications are: Masters Degree in Music Performance (USA) Bachelor of Music with Honours (UK) Colourstrings Certificates in Cello (UK/Finland) Music Together in Early Years (USA)
