About Jovonie
I’m Dr. Jovonie Tejero, an award-winning conductor and educator with over 15 years of experience. I teach at two universities, started multiple honor orchestras and all-state orchestras, and founded and direct a youth orchestra serving underrepresented communities. My students consistently win local, state, and international competitions. I bring culturally responsive, high-level training to students of all backgrounds and am passionate about helping every learner grow in confidence, skill, and artistry.

I hold a doctorate in music education and have guided students to success in competitions, youth orchestras, and conservatory auditions.
