It is my pleasure to recommend Rebecca Edge as a violin teacher. I have known her for nearly her entire life, and I can confidently say that she is one of the finest musician-educators I know.
Our families have been connected through music for decades. Rebecca and I both grew up in Central Florida, where our mothers were professional violinists who performed together in the local orchestra. I've watched her grow up immersed in an environment where music was not simply an activity but a way of life. From an early age, she demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication, and maturity as a violinist.
Rebecca studied with some of Central Florida's most respected violin teachers. She distinguished herself as a leader in both her school and youth orchestras - going on to attend summer programs, such as Tanglewood and graduate from Jacobs School of Music. Since then, she has built her career performing with orchestras throughout the United States while maintaining a deep commitment to teaching.
As the owner of a violin shop in Florida, I have had the unique opportunity to witness the results of her teaching firsthand. Her students have come through my shop and I have heard them perform in recitals over the years. I have been impressed by the level of technical foundation, musical sensitivity, and confidence they display.
Her students clearly respect and adore her, and her colleagues hold her in equally high regard. Any student or music program would be fortunate to have her and I am confident she will make a meaningful contribution to any musical community.

At the age of 5, my daughter started violin lessons with Rebecca. Rebecca was a great teacher, very patient and kind. It is clear how much she loves what she does, and she has a special way of instilling this love for the violin in the kids too. We are so grateful for her.

I met Rebecca through another violinist when she moved to Chicago. She is very focused on doing the right techniques along with creating a good sound. She is a very hard worker and I highly recommend her, especially for a intermediate / advanced amateur violinist.
