About Hannah
I have an extensive background in music, as well as singing I achieved grade 8 in piano and have a thorough understanding of music theory. My early vocal training was in a classical style, however after completing my degree I am adept in a variety of genres including Classical, Pop, Singer Songwriter, Soul, Rock and Musical Theatre. I am passionate about the voice and what singers are capable of. I also love learning about the voice, vocal anatomy and how important the body and breath are when singing. With years of performance experience and session work, I have sung backing vocals for up-and-coming independent artists. I am co-director of the company Vocal Venture London Limited, which aims to build a community of vocalists in the industry, promoting good vocal health and vocal arrangements. I am in an A Cappella group called Vocal Shack so understand the importance of blend and harmony.

I achieved a 1st class honours degree in vocal performance at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP). During the degree, I learnt the importance of singing safely, so singing is always enjoyable rather than uncomfortable. It ensures our voice has longevity so we can sing for as long as possible! You'll learn how to adapt the voice to various styles using a wide range of techniques. These give us options, so when we are singing we can make choices and deliver emotion. It also adds interest and highlights how much our voices are capable of!
