About Shahmy
I'm Shahmy, a gap year student with an unconditional offer to study Medicine at Keele University in 2027. My route here has been anything but narrow, alongside achieving AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, I've attended multiple lecture series, volunteered in hospital settings, and built real-world experience across both corporate environments and student facing teaching.
That range matters in how I tutor. I naturally approach problems from multiple angles, and I've found that the student who can't grasp something one way will often get it immediately from a different direction. It's just how varied experience shapes your thinking.
Medicine requires that kind of adaptability, and so does good tutoring. My commitment to both is what got me an unconditional offer, and it's the same commitment I bring to every student I work with.

Before every session I research the specific topic we're covering and think through where students most commonly struggle with it, so the lesson is already shaped around likely problem areas before we've even started. My focus is on genuine understanding rather than surface-level memorisation, I'd rather a student truly grasps how enzyme inhibition works than recite a definition they'll forget under pressure.
Sessions are one hour, structured but not rigid. I begin by identifying exactly where you're at, then work through the material using clear explanation, past paper questions and mark scheme analysis so you understand not just the content but what examiners actually want to see.
I achieved AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Physics at A-level, and during sixth form I was asked by teachers to provide peer teaching support to younger year groups in these subjects, which is where I developed a practical sense of how to explain complex material clearly.
These lessons are for GCSE students building confidence, A-level students targeting specific grade boundaries, and anyone considering Medicine who wants a solid science foundation.
