About Magalie
My academic background includes a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Sussex and a Master from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, one of France’s leading universities. On a personal note, I am a mum of two teenagers and I have been tutoring for many years. Currently, I also work as a marketing manager for a biotech lab. I have many hobbies, I enjoy long walks with my dogs and I can play the flute!

I offer A level chemistry tuition (OCR A and Salters' exam boards only) face-to-face in the Newmarket area, Suffolk or online. Learning should be a joy and I believe that I can share my passion for science with all my students. I am very friendly and flexible and I can easily adapt to my students' needs and pace of learning. I believe students should feel at ease in order to learn best.
Over the years, I have guided learners from primary through to university level, supporting them in building confidence, achieving higher grades, and fulfilling their academic ambitions.
As well as teaching and supporting students throughout their learning, I can offer advice on how to learn and to plan revisions successfully. These learning and time management skills are not taught at school, but are essential to reduce stressful revision times and are excellent habits to master before going to university or entering working life.
