About Lydia
I am a dedicated college student studying at Peter Symonds, who specialises in tutoring Media Studies and English at GCSE level. I am currently studying English Literature, Media Studies and Photography at A Level, and am predicted to achieve A's across all of my subjects. I plan on continuing English Literature at university, and hope to become a publisher, or author, in the near future.

Adopting an encouraging and optimistic approach to teaching, I utilise my English and Media credentials in tutoring students efficiently, effectively and affordably. Having passed all of my GCSEs in 2024 with flying colours (despite being affected by COVID-19) I am extremely knowledgeable in the current GCSE curriculum. I achieved grades A* in Media Studies, and A in English Literature and Language, so I know the steps necessary to achieve the highest grades. I am best-suited to tutoring ages 12-16, providing flexible and content-focused sessions to suit each student, of any level, individually. By volunteering at my local library for 4 consecutive years, I have priceless education experience, and work exceptionally in a teacher/guidance role. Both my Dad and my sister have severe dyslexia; I have experience aiding those with additional needs in analysing, reading and writing. A typical tutoring session would last 1-2 hours long and include: - Progress reviews - Past paper exam focus - Exam tips/tricks - Key quotes + takeaways - Additional home learning
