For a year I worked as a volunteer tutor for small groups, meaning I have experience in delivering and planning lessons, as well as developing a personal bond with the students. I feel this connection allows students to feel more connected and involved in their lessons, and helps me to find their weaknesses to overcome. Typical lessons are 30 minutes to an hour long, depending on the depth of teaching for students from year 7-11. I studied Spanish at GCSE (grade 8) and A level (predicted B) and completed a language exchange trip in Madrid where I lived with a Spanish family for a week, completely immersing myself in the language and culture.
