About Hritesh
I'm an incoming Mathematics student at the University of Warwick, having just finished school with AAA*A at A-Level, including Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Economics. Maths has been the constant thread through my time at school, not just in the classroom but through competitions too: I've won multiple Senior Mathematical Challenge Golds, reached the national final of the Cipher Challenge, and made the final of the Ritangle Maths Competition.
I started tutoring because I remember exactly what it felt like to be stuck on a topic with no one to explain it in a way that clicked, and I wanted to be that person for someone else. Over two years of tutoring GCSE and 11+ maths, that's stayed the reason I keep doing it: there's nothing better than watching a concept finally make sense to a student who'd written it off as "not a maths person." I've since moved into advanced admissions coaching too, and recently mentored a student through TMUA preparation to a top-level score. I also spent a year running my own maths club at school, mentoring younger students and organising problem-solving sessions.
What I care most about as a tutor is making sure students understand the "why" behind a method, not just memorising steps to pass an exam. I build sessions around past papers and worked examples, adjusting my approach depending on whether someone needs to shore up fundamentals or push into harder material. Whether you're working toward GCSEs, an 11+ exam, or a university admissions test like the TMUA or MAT, I'll tailor lessons around your specific goals and pace.

We'll go at your pace, using past papers and worked examples to build real understanding, not just memorised methods. Lessons typically run 1 hour, held online or in-person on weekends. Each session mixes explanation with practice questions, tailored to GCSE, 11+, or TMUA/MAT prep. Flexible scheduling, with past papers and worked examples set as follow-up practice.
