Beccalynn is one of the most caring and compassionate people I know. Having known her for decades, I have seen her deep love of learning and education grow and she loves to spread that to others. Rebecca and I have worked on several dance theater productions including our annual Nutcracker with a cast of over 200 children and teens. Rebecca is a talented props maker and theater hand, but when you are working with children & teens in theater it takes a little something extra beyond being creative, crafty, and quick on your feet. It means pep talks in the wings, teachable moments with curious kids interested in a different aspect of the production they are working on, tutoring when kids have homework to complete during the run of a show, remembering that everyone needs snacks and hydration to be at their best, passing your skills on to other people that need to understudy what you are doing in case you are unavailable for the next showing or production, and generally being a team player that is up for almost anything. She has all of these skills and more. Her background in child development and education make her poised to do this well and she’s really great at working with and teaching kids especially.
