About Mrs F
Each student has to realize that working with a tutor is a collaborative effort because we both bring something to the table. I've written two books of poetry ("Passing Thoughts on Paperrrr"---2018; "Psalms of the Summer"---2021)and a children's book ("My Mommy Has No Hair"---2003) with a team of final draft readers/reviewers. I have attended workshops (The Writers Center---Bethesda, MD) and writers' retreats (Tinker Mt. Writers Workshop--Roanoke, VA). I'm currently working on my fourth project.
I've taught every grade level in two different school systems; as well as worked as a tutor in the Home and Hospital Teaching program (Mont. Co. Pub. Schools) .I also assisted in English programs (B-CC High School--Bethesda, MD) that assisted students who needed some extra help to graduate (High School Plus).

When it's time to start any well written paper there is the dreaded blank screen dilemma---do you wait until the inspiration hits or do you just start typing aimlessly in hopes that a clear aim will magically appear to guide it into the right path? Neither of those strategies will produce a well written poem, essay or research paper. Proper planning produces work that will grab your audience and the top grade.
My approach aims at a three step strategy: introduce writing tools to build confidence, start the assignments early, and make your rough draft the scaffolding that will support only the segments that completes the assignment. No true scholar should be satisfied with an unorganized and poorly written assignment.
