Hello! I'm Pablo. I'm currently living in Vancouver, Canada. I've been speaking Japanese for over 3 years and have been teaching it for a year and a half. Although I've primarily taught my native language, English, and most of my educational background is related to it, I've been providing relatively informal tutoring for Japanese. I usually prefer to follow a structured curriculum in my classes, starting with Hiragana and Katakana, basic grammar rules, and simple vocabulary including Kanji at the beginner level, and gradually expanding to more advanced Japanese, including idiomatic expressions, colloquial language, and complex grammatical structures. I also believe that knowing only textbook language isn't enough, so I incorporate natural language expressions used in everyday life into my lessons, especially emphasizing this for advanced students.
As a linguist fluent in 6 languages, 4 of which I've learned in just 3 years, I have a solid understanding of the grammar and pronunciation of each language, and I can utilize my reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills effectively. Additionally, I have a knack for retaining and recalling information when learning new languages, which I can leverage to teach others. Lastly, I have a passion for languages and education, and I truly enjoy teaching.
