About Ryen
I have been surrounded by Hawaiian/local music my whole life. I was taught to play ukulele from the age of 6 and have been self taught ever since. I've been in several choirs, both contemporary and Hawaiian, along with voice lessons from professionals both in Hawaii and California.

I would rather focus on the basics than rush through lessons. You can build anything off a strong foundation, but will struggle otherwise! Especially in music, it is essential to build technique to develop over time. Of course, this can be adjusted based on experience.
