About Sarah
I'm a recent graduate from Methodist Ladies' College WA, where I was fortunate to have received a Piano/Violin scholarship under the Council Music and Principal's Award Scholarship. With this opportunity came the eagerness to join a variety of bands, orchestras and choirs, such as Symphony Orchestra and Strings, Jazz Orchestra, Chorale and Barbershop. In my final years of high school, I picked up Music ATAR, which was an experience I thoroughly enjoyed, especially the composition and aural analysis component. For my final recital, I was lucky to have the opportunity to perform my favorite concerto: Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 (First Movement). One thing I love about teaching is seeing many students have different ambitions, goals and passions within the field of music. Whether it be performance, theory or composition, I am happy to help!

From my experience playing the piano for 11 years, I'm here to help students of all ages explore the joy of music.
Lessons will typically consist of reviewing repertoire, correcting weaknesses, demonstrations and introducing new techniques.
I'm also happy to incorporate some aural and theory work, especially in preparation for exams / school tests
My qualifications include:
Licentiate of Trinity College London in Piano
Associate in Music, Australia in Piano
Grade 8 in Violin (High Distinction, AUSTA best 7th/8th grade strings candidate)
Grade 5 in Theory
ATAR raw score of 91 in the written component of music
I have experience practice teaching with primary school students.
Lessons are typically an hour ($80 for in-person or $70 online)
I give a free 30 minute consultation.
