About Giovanna
I'm a vocalist and composer based in Boston, MA. I hold a degree in Music Composition and Theory and minor in Vocal Performance from The Hartt School and a Master's degree in Music Composition from The Longy School of Music of Bard College. I have over 3 years of experience teaching voice, piano, and music theory!

VOICE LESSONS
I believe anyone can sing! I approach singing like an athletic endeavor, slowly building up fine motor skills and an understanding of your instrument through vocal drills, conversation and exploration. I build my lessons around each student’s unique learning goals, giving them the techniques, vocabulary and cultural understanding to sing in the genre they desire! I make music a positive experience while also emphasizing the habits and mental discipline needed to be a successful singer!
MUSIC THEORY
I also offer classes in music theory and reading music. I was a music theory major, but the concepts never came easy to me, so I understand how to break down this very complex subject into something approachable. I can teach beginner music theory to music theory and beyond!
