About Mariano
I hold a Master's in Applied Philosophy and Ethics, and am able to tutor academic writing as well. I also have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and am currently completing coursework for an MA in Counseling. I have taught middle school English and have worked in Social Work for the last six years. I also have a minor in Military Science from my undergraduate work. Most recently I was a teaching assistant at Texas State University.

I base my teaching method on the type of questioning found in Plato's dialogues. I find that Socratic dialogue is the original and best educative pedagogy. Challenging the student's beliefs and allowing them to apply the systems of thought presented to them allow for the deepest forms of cognitive integration of the assigned material.
