About Rafael
I am a history teacher, very curious and passionate about cultural studies. I collect books, comic books, movies and vinyl records. My master's research investigated Polish cinema, I think cinema is still the best way to tell a story and I like to discuss this art with my students whenever possible.

As a history teacher and researcher I believe in a living history perspective. Historical knowledge emanates from life, and composes the daily life of every social being. Cinema, music, the arts in general, politics, fashion, eating habits, everyday history exist thanks to a process. As a teacher I seek to map the historical consciousness of my students, starting from their references to connect living history to the history of books. I believe my role as a professor of the humanities is to do, or to seek to return history to its primary place.
