About Leona
With 3 years of tutoring experience, I am deeply passionate about helping high school and college students succeed in math. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching around 150 students, each with unique learning styles and challenges. My goal is not only to help students understand math but also to inspire them to develop a love for the subject. I focus on making complex concepts easy to understand, breaking down problems step by step, and using real-world examples to make math relatable. One of my proudest milestones was helping many students improve their grades and confidence, some even excelling in advanced math courses. I am committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel motivated to reach their full potential. I believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance and a positive attitude toward learning.

My teaching methodology focuses on creating a supportive and understanding environment for each student. I believe that empathy is key to building confidence, and I take the time to understand each student's individual needs and learning style. Collaboration plays an important role in my lessons. I encourage students to ask questions, engage in discussions, and work together to solve problems. This helps build a deeper understanding of the material. I also use various teaching techniques to explain concepts clearly and in a way that makes sense to each student. In addition to math, I can help with related subjects, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience. My goal is to help students gain both skills and confidence in their studies.
