About Felipe
I am Felipe Yong, a music teacher from the Universidad Javeriana with an emphasis on composition. My training in classical piano began in the Children and Youth Program of the Universidad de los Andes (PIJ) and continued at the Universidad Javeriana, where I consolidated my technique and musical knowledge. In addition, I studied sound art at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSAM) in Buenos Aires, which has allowed me to integrate experimentation and technology into my artistic approach.
My professional career spans various fields of sound creation. I have worked in video production companies, theatre productions and record production, developing original music, sound design and music production for different formats. I have also taught art history and art and technology, which has allowed me to explore the relationship between music, sound and other artistic disciplines.

My teaching approach combines the rigor of academic training with a practical and creative method, adapted to the needs of each student.
In classical piano, I use the methodology of the Russian Conservatory, which emphasizes technique, expressiveness, and structural understanding of music. I work with progressive exercises, harmonic analysis, and development of interpretation, addressing everything from classical repertoire to adaptations according to the student's interests.
In music production and technology, I teach everything related to the use of Ableton Live, from recording and editing to synthesis, sound design and mixing. My methodology is based on practical projects where the student applies the concepts in real time, developing their artistic and technical criteria. I also integrate generative music tools and creative processes inspired by contemporary composition and sound exploration.
My classes are aimed at musicians, producers and composers of all levels, from beginners to advanced who are looking to perfect their technique or expand their creativity. I can help students who want to strengthen their academic training, prepare for auditions or improve their workflow in music production.
The most important thing in my teaching is that each student finds his or her own artistic voice while acquiring solid foundations and tools to express themselves freely.
