About Pedro
Master’s Degree in music from Campinas State University (Unicamp), Bachelor’s Degree in Music with a Trumpet qualification from Santa Marcelina College in Campinas, currently attending the Teaching License Degree Program at Claretiano College (4th semester). Began his musical studies at the age of 9 at the Music School of the Musical Band of Peruíbe (1998 -2002). He has been a teacher of early childhood music education since 2013. In 2016 he became the first Suzuki Trumpet teacher in Latin America, after attending the training course that took place in the city of Calgary, Canada. He played as a trumpeter in important musical groups in Brazil, such as the Symphonic Band of Cubatão (2008-2015), among others. His Master’s Degree research, under the supervision of Dr. Paulo Ronqui, resulted in an unprecedented composition of the trumpet solo called “O Chamado do Anjo” by the composer Leonardo Martinelli. He served as Assistant Professor of Ear Training I, II, III and IV in the music course at the Campinas State University Arts Institute during the period of his Master's dissertation. He became a Suzuki ECE teacher Stage 1 in 2018, taking the training course with Wan Tsai Chen and Stage 2 in 2019, also with Wan Tsai Chen. He was a music teacher at AMIC - Friends of the Child from 2013 to 2017, and is currently a music teacher at Múltiplo School, a trumpet and Suzuki ECE teacher at the Suzuki Center of Campinas since 2017, and one of the coordinators of the “Music in the Early Childhood” Project. (AMIC - Friends of the Child) since 2017, where he conducts training for teachers and monitors, so that the team can perform musical experiences with the children served weekly.
