About Lydia
I am a flute and choir teacher with over three years of teaching experience, teaching students from beginners to intermediate, of various ages. As a flute and choir teacher, I inspire courage and confidence in my students to overcome their fears of performing and let their inner artist shine. My goal as a teacher is to invoke an unquenchable passion for the art of music that spreads beyond your study of music.

Individualized lessons that focus on your specific needs as a musician to help you grow in your artistry. Lessons consist of setting and reaching long-term and short-term goals, working through basic exercises to help you reach that golden sound on the flute, and going over the essential theoretical and historical backgrounds of each piece of music learned. Outside of lessons, the emphasis of practicing is on short, consistent & focused sessions rather than long hours, active listening to music for inspiration, and regular reflection on your growth as a musician. Lessons are for anyone from beginner to advanced of all ages.

What if there were an instructor and a teacher that took the time and made the effort to connect with her students in a meaningful and positive way, so that learning seemed valuable; from the functions of the flute, to the unique theory that accompanies it.
