About Sienna
As a dedicated piano tutor with 12 years of experience, I have had the privilege of guiding students through their musical journeys. My teaching approach is rooted in a deep understanding of jazz harmony, improvisation, and music theory, allowing students to explore and express their creativity. I believe in providing tailored lessons that cater to the unique needs and goals of each student, ensuring a personalized learning experience that fosters growth and confidence.
Outside of teaching, I have a profound passion for music that extends beyond the piano. I enjoy exploring various genres, from classical to contemporary, and often spend my free time composing and improvising new pieces. This continuous engagement with music keeps my skills sharp and allows me to bring fresh, innovative ideas to my lessons, inspiring my students to push their boundaries and discover their own musical voices.
In addition to my musical pursuits, I have a love for outdoor activities and photography. Hiking and exploring new trails offer me a sense of adventure and a chance to unwind, while photography allows me to capture the beauty of nature and moments of inspiration. These hobbies not only enrich my personal life but also provide me with a well-rounded perspective that I bring into my teaching, encouraging students to find balance and creativity in all aspects of their lives.

With 12 years of experience as a piano tutor, my lessons are designed to cater to the unique needs and aspirations of each student. Specializing in jazz harmony, improvisation, and music theory, I strive to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment. My approach emphasizes hands-on practice and real-world applications, ensuring students not only understand the theoretical aspects but also feel confident in their ability to express themselves musically.
Each lesson is tailored to the individual's skill level and goals. For beginners, I focus on building a strong foundation in technique and music theory, while for more advanced students, I delve into the complexities of jazz harmony and improvisation. By incorporating a mix of structured exercises and creative exploration, I aim to keep lessons enjoyable and motivating. This personalized approach helps students progress at their own pace, making the learning process both effective and enjoyable.
Beyond technical skills, I encourage students to develop their own musical voice. Through improvisation and composition exercises, students learn to express their creativity and gain a deeper understanding of music. I also integrate performance opportunities into my teaching, helping students build confidence and experience the joy of sharing their music with others. My goal is to inspire a lifelong passion for music, equipping students with the skills and confidence to continue their musical journey independently.
