About Lily
I have had a love affair with photography for over 15 years now! I first started working at Nikon after I left university and being surrounded by incredible photographs, working with leading photographers in their field and having the best in technology at my disposal; I decided to teach myself how to become a photographer. Since then, I have won a travel photography competition with British Airways, awarded "Rising Star" by Amateur Photographer magazine, I've run street photography workshops, photographed weddings across the world and even went back to university to study for a Master's degree in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography. My work has been published in the Washington Post and I have freelanced for the BBC online. I never really set out to be a full time photographer, it was just something that I kept loving and something that kept growing on the side until I needed to make more room for it. For anyone who has a passion for photography but feels stuck or wanting to make money from their passion - it really is possible and I would love to help you!

My lessons are designed specifically for women who want to grow their photography skills and turn their passion into a source of income. Every session is highly tailored to your goals - whether you’re picking up your camera again after a long break away, want to carve out a new career, get up to speed on photography techniques including editing styles, or exploring how to build a photography business. I cover a wide range of styles, from weddings and events to portraits, photojournalism and family photography. Each lesson blends clear explanations with hands-on practice, practical exercises, and constructive feedback on your images. You’ll not only learn how to take better photographs but also how to recognise opportunities, develop your unique style, and create work you feel proud of and can confidently sell. Lessons last one hour and can be arranged online or in person if you’re local to Sevenoaks, Kent. With over a decade of professional experience, photographing weddings, working for the BBC, seeing my images published in the Washington Post, and even starting out with an award from British Airways and Amateur Photographer magazine, I bring both creative expertise and real-world industry knowledge to my teaching. My aim is simple: to empower women not just to take beautiful photographs, but to build confidence, express creativity, and even generate income through photography.
