About Max
I am a senior Leaving Certificate student at the Institute of Education in Dublin, maintaining an exceptional academic record with consistent H1 grades in every mathematics exam throughout my secondary education. Outside of school, I have successfully participated in Irish Math Olympiad, ranking in the top 100 nationwide, as well as representing my school at various national math competitions.
Having successfully navigated the Junior Cycle myself not long ago, I know exactly how intimidating the transition to Higher Level can be for a student. I speak the same language as my students, remember all the common exam traps, and act as an encouraging, friendly mentor. My goal is to pass on my enthusiasm for math and prove that anyone can excel in this subject when it is taught through logic and understanding rather than boring memorization.

I speak the same language as my students, remember all the common exam traps, and act as an encouraging, friendly mentor who proves that anyone can excel in mathematics with the right approach.
My grinds are specifically designed for Junior Cycle students who want to build genuine confidence in Higher Level Mathematics. Instead of just forcing students to memorize endless formulas, I focus on the underlying logic of math, making subjects like algebra, geometry, and trigonometry feel natural and accessible.
To achieve this, I introduce curated supplementary materials and intuitive visual proofs that go beyond standard school textbooks, helping students grasp the deep, underlying concepts of mathematics. Once a student truly understands the 'why' behind a mathematical structure, solving exam questions becomes second nature. While we will still work extensively with official SEC exam papers and mock tasks to master exam techniques and timing, our primary goal is to develop strong analytical thinking. Each session is completely tailored to the student’s pace, ensuring we fill any knowledge gaps and build a flawless foundation without creating extra academic stress.
