About Cat
I hold a Master's degree in STEM from【World Top 10】University: Johns Hopkins University, where I developed a deep passion for advanced problem-solving and mathematical reasoning. During my own academic journey, I was an active competitor in high-level math olympiads, for example, achieving first prize in undergraduate math competition. This intensive competitive background not only solidified my conceptual foundation in geometry, number theory, combinatorics, and algebra but also gave me a first-hand understanding of the psychological and intellectual hurdles students face when tackling non-standard, elite-level problems.

My teaching philosophy revolves around the "First Principles" approach found in the Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) curriculum. Instead of simply showing students how to solve a problem, I lead them through a guided discovery process, encouraging them to dissect complex AIME or BMO questions into foundational elements they already understand. I focus heavily on teaching metacognitive strategies—how to analyze a problem when stuck, how to systematically test small cases, and how to spot symmetries. By creating an interactive, intellectually stimulating online classroom environment with digital whiteboards, I ensure that my students do not just learn the solutions, but master the elegant thinking patterns required to conquer any competition problem they encounter.
