My approach to tutoring history is centered on making the subject engaging, relatable, and easy to understand. Rather than having students memorize dates and names, I focus on helping them understand why historical events happened, how they connect to one another, and why they still matter today. I believe students learn best when they're encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and make connections between the past and the present.
A typical lesson begins by reviewing previous material and identifying any areas that need clarification. I also help students develop effective note-taking, reading comprehension, and test-taking strategies so they feel more confident in the classroom.
