About Emma
I have performed internationally as a soloist and as part of my sibling piano duo Taggart Squared. I have won numerous national and international competitions, soloed with the Minnesota Orchestra and Milan Chamber Orchestra, and shared the stage with artists including Sheila E. and the multi-platinum rock band the Goo Goo Dolls. My training includes the Mannes School of Music and the Manhattan School of Music.
I have been teaching since age 15 and consider it to be my deepest passion. My students have been accepted to many prestigious programs, including the Mannes School of Music precollege program, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the Mark Twain School for the Performing Arts. Most recently, a student of mine received 2nd prize in the Clementi International Piano Competition.

I build a personalized lesson plan for each student that encompasses technique, reading music, and finger strengthening, all while playing the music that YOU love! Any style, any genre, any type. You name it, we’ll play it!
I’ve been teaching piano since the age of 15, and my student’s ages span between 3 and 50! I’ve trained students for precollege and conservatory programs but have also worked with students who are just looking to play a little for fun. My philosophy is that piano should be fun, easy, and accessible to all!
