About Ashley
I have a master’s degree in education from Florida State University, and I am a current elementary school teacher in Florida. I hold teaching certifications in Elementary Education and Special Education and endorsements in reading instruction, autism spectrum disorders, and teaching English speakers of other languages. I have 15 years of experience providing individualized, intensive academic instruction to both typical learners and students with dyslexia and other learning challenges. I love to provide engaging, highly individualized lessons to make sure my students not only learn the skills they need to become effective readers, but also to develop a love of reading and become lifelong learners!

I provide highly individualized and engaging reading instruction for elementary aged students. I can provide a spectrum of support, from students who just need a boost to supplement curriculum they’re already receiving, to students with intensive reading intervention needs. I provide instruction in the areas of phonics/decoding, spelling, reading fluency, reading comprehension, grammar, and basic writing skills. Lessons will incorporate engaging, age-appropriate activities such as games and movement, and will be tailored to student interests.
