About Zeke
I hold a Master’s degree in Music and have been teaching piano for over 7 years to students of all ages and levels. My academic training is rooted in classical piano, but I also incorporate contemporary music to create a versatile and engaging learning experience for every student. Beyond teaching, I’ve performed solo and with ensembles, gaining practical experience that enhances my ability to teach performance skills and stage presence. I understand the challenges pianists face—from technical roadblocks to musical confidence—and use that knowledge to help others overcome them with encouragement and structure. I believe in a student-centred approach, where creativity, patience, and personal goals drive progress. Each lesson is crafted to inspire a lasting relationship with music. My piano lessons begin with essential foundations tailored for beginners or those returning to the instrument. Early sessions focus on posture, hand positioning, note reading, and rhythm basics. We use beginner-friendly pieces to establish technique, build coordination, and nurture a steady musical routine. The goal is to create comfort and curiosity with every keystroke. As students progress, lessons introduce scales, chords, pedalling, sight-reading, and basic music theory. Intermediate learners dive into more detailed articulation, dynamics, and phrasing while exploring a wider variety of musical styles—from classical to contemporary. Lessons are paced to ensure confidence, accuracy, and joy in performance. Advanced students explore musical interpretation, improvisation, composition, and complex repertoire. Whether preparing for recitals, auditions, or personal mastery, lessons are shaped to fit individual interests and strengths. Students receive detailed feedback, artistic coaching, and a structured path to help deepen their musical identity and technical fluency.
