About Fergus
As a Masters student, I have gained a contemporary understanding of the various levels of education. I feel this insight will allow me to understand and engage with pupils in a personal yet professional way. Additionally, I appreciate what teaching techniques are most effective to pupils of different ages.
My motivation to teach is inspired by the tutors and mentors that have been influential in my academic learning. In my opinion, personal tutors are instrumental not only in unlocking knowledge and understanding, but developing a pupils ability to engage confidently and coherently.

I prefer to teach KS3 KGCSE and A Level students (although can be flexible) for 30-120 minutes. This enables me to understand the pupils level of knowledge, thereby supporting their ability to overcome academic barriers. In my experiences as both a tutor and a pupil, a tailored approach to teaching offers the best opportunity to develop ones knowledge. I have had experience in personal tutoring at University with similar organisations such as Tutorful.
