About Ashavjeet
Hi! I’m an engineering graduate with a B.Eng. and M.Eng., and I enjoy helping high school students make Math and Physics feel much more manageable.
If formulas, calculus, forces, or physics problems sometimes seem overwhelming, we’ll break them down together into simple, logical steps.
My engineering and research background allows me to connect classroom concepts with real-world applications. My focus is not just on helping you get the right answer, but on helping you understand why it works so you can solve similar problems confidently on your own.
Whether you want to improve your grades, prepare for an exam, strengthen your fundamentals, or get ready for university-level STEM courses, I’ll adapt the lessons to your level and goals.

Every student learns differently, so lessons are built around what you actually need help with.
We can work on Grade 9–12 Math and Physics, Functions, Advanced Functions, Pre-Calculus, Calculus & Vectors, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Physics 1/2/C, IB Math and Physics, and university preparation.
Bring a topic you’re struggling with, an upcoming test, homework questions, or even a concept that simply never made sense in class. We’ll go through it step by step using clear explanations, diagrams, examples, and practice problems.
There’s no pressure to already know the answer and no such thing as a silly question. Mistakes are part of learning.
The goal is simple: understand the concept, learn how to approach the problem, and become confident enough to solve it yourself.

Working through engineering problems with Ashavjeet was always interesting because he rarely approached a problem mechanically. He would question the assumptions, sketch things out, connect the equations to what was physically happening, and then work toward the solution. That way of thinking helped the people around him as much as it helped him.
He is also someone you can comfortably ask a basic question without feeling judged. He genuinely enjoys discussing Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering and has the patience to explain his reasoning step by step. In my experience, that combination of curiosity and approachability is what makes someone a very effective teacher.I’ve known Ashavjeet for several years, and honestly, his support has gone far beyond just academics. He helped me through my competitive exam preparation and later during university exams, always finding a simpler way to explain things whenever I was struggling. He was patient enough to sit with me until I actually understood the concept rather than simply memorising an answer.
Over the years, he has also been someone I’ve turned to for career advice and some of the bigger decisions in life. His guidance during my career planning helped me look at my options more clearly and make decisions with confidence. Even today, I still reach out to him whenever I need perspective or advice. I started out asking him for help with studies, but somewhere along the way, he became a mentor and a friend I know I can count on.Ashavjeet demonstrated an excellent work ethic throughout the time I worked with him. He approached his responsibilities with seriousness, took ownership of the work assigned to him, and was always willing to learn when dealing with something new.
One of his strongest qualities was communication. Whether discussing an engineering problem with the team or preparing a presentation, he could organize technical information into a clear and logical story. His presentations were well structured, confident, and easy for different audiences to follow. I believe this combination of technical understanding, discipline, and communication ability translates particularly well into teaching.Having worked alongside Ashavjeet as a fellow tutor, I’ve always admired his ability to make difficult concepts feel simple and approachable. His strong command of Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering, combined with his patient and practical teaching style, really sets him apart. I’ve personally learned a lot from his approach and would confidently recommend him to students looking for genuine understanding rather than just answers.
I have known Ashavjeet through his engineering work and have always been impressed by the way he approaches technical problems. He does not simply look for an answer; he takes the time to understand why something works and is equally comfortable explaining that reasoning to others.
What makes Ashavjeet particularly effective as a tutor is his combination of engineering knowledge, patience, and an easygoing communication style. He has a natural way of making technical subjects feel less intimidating while still maintaining the depth needed to build a strong understanding.
For students looking for someone who can bring a practical engineering perspective to Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering subjects, I would confidently recommend Ashavjeet.I had the privilege of supervising Ashavjeet during his Master’s degree at the University of Alberta, where we worked closely on advanced engineering projects. He consistently impressed me with his strong analytical abilities, technical competence, and thoughtful approach to solving complex problems.
Beyond his technical strengths, Ashavjeet has an exceptional ability to break down challenging engineering concepts and explain them with clarity, patience, and practical insight. His approachable personality and engaging communication style make him particularly effective as an educator.
I recommend Ashavjeet without hesitation to students seeking a highly capable, knowledgeable, and dedicated tutor.View more recommendations
