About Kavin
I am a Mathematics and Statistics double major at the University of Toronto, and I happen to be an aspiring high school math teacher. I’d love to get some experience tutoring high school students who need some assistance with their math classes.
I was a student that struggled with math in my early high school years, but through a lot of hard work, earned a 97, 93, and 94 in Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, and Data Management in Grade 12. I have helped several peers with understanding math concepts in the past and I'm confident I can help you as well!

I like to first learn how students approach and do math problems that they already know how to do, so I can understand how best to teach them new problems that they struggle with. That way, I can best get into their headspace and learning styles, and therefore help them optimize their learning experience.
Our lessons may include us going through several problems together, comparing our work, and thorough explanations of why you may have gotten it wrong and what to do next time you are stuck. I also may devote time to simply explaining the fundamentals of a concept or topic.
