About Chau
Hi, I’m Chau! I graduated from Wesleyan College in the USA with a degree in Mathematics and later completed a web development bootcamp in New York City. I have four years of experience tutoring math to middle school, high school, and college students in Georgia. I was also the Vice President of Math Club where I regularly raised funds through market fairs to support Girls in STEM! Students enjoy working with me because I’m a good listener and tailor my lessons to fit their individual needs and learning goals. I offer flexible lesson times and work well with children, as well as middle and high school students.

My approach begins with review of key concepts, supported by visual examples to make the material easier to grasp. I then encourage students to think out loud and guide themselves toward solutions. I only step in when they get stuck. This way, students feel a greater sense of achievement because they arrive at the answer themselves rather than simply being told. Before each lesson, I reach out to the student to understand what topics they’d like to cover. Based on the subject, I prepare clear explanations, practice exercises, and address any questions or difficulties they may have during the session. Students often tell me they appreciate my attentive listening, thorough preparation, and ability to simplify complex topics. I personalize each lesson to fit their learning style and dive deep when needed, creating a supportive and effective learning environment. Who my Lessons Are For: I teach primary, middle, and high school students. I also offer calculus tutoring for college students upon request.
