My name is yashmita . I love doing mathematics. And i love teaching .

Bsc(hons.) Mathematics - 9.541 cgpa
Currently enrolled in - dual degree msc. Mtech - mathematics and data and computational sciences , IIT Jodhpur .

Before you join my class i just want you to know that i am not perfect , i make a lot of mistakes in my life too just like other human biengs . I have myself not been a bookworm mugging up things while i was in school , and i dont want you to be as well . i used to participate in all co curricular activities . I still like dancing and singing . And i love to do photography as well .
I just think i am good at understanding people and making them understand certain things , and that i should use this to help someone in need .
SO , I have completed my schooling from a convent school in Haryana . Though i have been an all rounder in my schooldays , i always had a soft corner for mathematics . I always gave it more priority . I realised it back then itself that i am good at not only understanding the subject but also teaching it to someone . As my way of studying has always been teaching . So you can say that whatever i know till date is what i have taught myself . I also helped my firends understand the problems effectively .
After i completed my schooling , i decided that i want to study mathematics further , and i got admission in mathematics hons. In delhi university . There I met a lot of like minded people and encouraging teachers . One thing that i got to know while my graduation was that some students find that the mathematics they wanted to learn after 12th std. and the mathematics that is in actual are very different and often had trouble understanding certain problems during our degree . I realised that this is because during the school everybody is busy just learning formulas and using them rather than understanding the whole concept , understanding why we are learning what we are learning , and how did someone come up with this at the first place . These things are what form mathematics .
And not only this , whenever I told someone that i am majoring in mathematics, they would always get amazed and would say that they were never good at mathematics and they wonder how can someone find maths easy and love it .
All these things made me think about the whole phobia of mathematics and i decided that i want to bring a change in this mindset . ANYONE CAN DO MATHEMATICS. And maths is the most basic thing in life everybody should be good at no matter what they decide to pursue in life .
In addition, all the compliments that i used to recieve after my presentations in seminars and workshops organised by our department about the way i am good at making things easily understandable to someone , made me realise that i should use my knowledge and skills to help bring about whatever little change i could bring in the way the society sees mathematics .
Through this platform if i am able to help even a single child , i ll be more than happy .
Though i am a lenient teacher but i am very strict about punctuality and sincerity of the child .

I teach school going students upto class 9th to 12th online via google meet platform.
I take personal sessions i.e. one on one classes for the better concept building and understanding of the student . The mathematical background and knowledge grasping level of each student is different and i want my students to actually understand the concepts and logics of mathematics rather than just mugging up questions for exams .
Each session will be of 1 hour duration only , so that the student can pay complete attention towards what is bieng taught . (The duration is extendable depending on the doubts of the student , if required)
The sessions will be completely interactive , because i want to identify and clear all the mis conceptions or gaps in my students knowledge of the topic bieng taught . In this manner , the student will be able to understand the mathematics he is studying and wont face any problems in the future .
Often , after school , children find that the mathematics taught in the school is different from the mathematics they encounter during higher studies .which is a myth . The school level mathematics forms a very strong base for higher mathematics . It is the way of teaching that makes a difference . And therefore i want to make a change in this scenario by heloing them with the basics .
After my sessions , i am sure the students will develop a deeper understanding of not only mathematics but also start studying other subjects with a better mindset.
In short , i dont want to overburden my students , and keep my classes easy going . But at the same time help them get strong at mathematics .
The detailed structure of classes including the days , timings , etc . Will be provided once the student enrolls in the class .
Also , i will talk to the parents of the students once every two weeks in the sessions , so that the parents are aware of the progress and at the same time can give any suggestions or complaints they have directly . This will mantain the transparency and trust of the parent .
