About Elise
My passion for mathematics began at an early age when I became fascinated by patterns, logical reasoning, and the way numbers explain real-world systems. This interest eventually led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, followed by a PhD in Applied Mathematics. Over the past 8 years, I have helped students strengthen their mathematical understanding through structured guidance, patient teaching, and supportive encouragement. I enjoy simplifying complex topics into clear explanations that help students build confidence gradually. Watching learners overcome mathematical frustration and develop independent problem-solving skills continues to motivate me as a tutor. My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding, consistency, and calm learning rather than memorization alone. I believe students perform better when they feel supported and comfortable asking questions during lessons. Every learner progresses differently, so I adapt my teaching style according to individual pace, goals, and confidence level. I also encourage students to think logically and explain their reasoning clearly because communication strengthens understanding.
