About Ophelia
I have been fascinated by mathematics from a young age, intrigued by its patterns, structures, and problem-solving challenges. This passion led me to pursue a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, equipping me with both theoretical knowledge and practical analytical skills. Over 11 years, I have guided students of varying levels, helping them develop clarity, confidence, and strong analytical capabilities in mathematics.
My teaching methodology is student-centred, interactive, and practical. I use visual aids, real-world applications, and problem-solving exercises to ensure students grasp core concepts deeply. I encourage curiosity, independent thinking, and systematic reasoning, providing support tailored to each student’s learning style.
Beyond teaching, I engage with mathematical research, computational methods, and applied problem-solving scenarios. Integrating these insights into lessons ensures relevance and helps students understand the broader applications of mathematics. Beginners focus on foundational skills like arithmetic operations, basic algebraic manipulation, geometric reasoning, and probability concepts. Intermediate learners tackle calculus principles, multi-step problem-solving, combinatorial reasoning, and statistical analysis. Advanced learners explore abstract algebra, advanced calculus, theoretical modelling, and complex problem-solving. Every lesson incorporates guided practice, analytical discussions, and applied exercises to reinforce comprehension and mastery.
