About Carolyn
I recently graduated with an A-average in my MBA, with a specialty track in innovation leadership. Before this, I obtained my BBA with a major in accounting. I have worked in an accounting office and have spent five years working at one of the major banks in their investment and financial planning department. I really enjoy teaching, and while I was at BMO, I volunteered with the Junior Achievement Program on Vancouver Island, which teaches high school students about finance and economics. I am always taking side courses to advance my knowledge and my skill set.
Currently, I am taking a leave of absence to spend a few years raising a little monster (toddler), so my schedule is extremely flexible!

I enjoy using humour and real-life examples to explain/teach concepts...and boy, do I have stories! I think it is important for students to be taught with the "full circle" approach. Only teaching bits and pieces of a concept or problem only promotes memorization, and can hinder the student in the long run. Keeping an open mind when teaching is essential for the success of any student and teacher. The ability to speak honestly and comfortably with each other is important, and I find humour really helps with that!
