About Devan
I have experience teaching students from a young age up to the University level, in both french as a second language and advanced french courses.
I began tutoring in High School when I helped out students in junior high, and then at McGill I assisted other University students (undergraduate and post-graduate) in their french course work.
My family is originally from Montreal, and I am a student at McGill University (in Montreal). I speak french everyday during the school year, and live with two friends; one from Quebec and one from France.

I tailor my lessons to each student that I help out. This ensures that they get the most out of each session!
I focus primarily on weaknesses in french, but also reinforce existing strengths to ensure a well balanced comprehension and understanding of french; be it oral, written or reading.
I have been speaking french since a young age, as my family is originally from Montreal. I also took french immersion (in the Alberta system from K-grade 12- graduating from Western Canada High with a 98% average), and reference the Alberta french curriculum to ensure all aspects of the curriculum are met, and that students are comfortable with any upcoming tests or assignments that they may have.
At a higher level (University, MBA, etc.) I take an initial "step back" to ensure that the fundamentals of all aspects of the French language are fully understood, and then proceed with a well rounded series of lessons to elevate their comprehension to a higher level.
