About Ray
I’m the kind of tutor who believes learning should be both effective and enjoyable. My students know me for my humor, patience, and the way I turn even the toughest Math and Physics problems into something manageable — sometimes even fun. Outside of tutoring, I’m passionate about sports, traveling, and meeting people from different cultures. I love sharing stories from my journeys and experiences, which often sneak into lessons to make them more engaging. Many of my past students still keep in touch for advice, whether it’s about studies, career choices, or simply life in general. My teaching method is based on clarity and patience. I start by identifying the student’s strengths and weaknesses, then adapt my explanations to their learning style. I focus on making complex ideas simple and engaging, so students not only improve their grades but also gain confidence in their abilities.
The Typical Lesson Plan that I follow is:
1) Recap: Review previous material to reinforce retention.
2) Concept Introduction: Explain the new topic with simple analogies and clear visuals.
3) Guided Practice: Work through problems together.
4) Independent Practice: Students solve problems on their own.
5) Wrap-Up: Assign targeted exercises, and set clear goals for the next lesson.
I treat my students like younger brothers and sisters, creating a relaxed and positive atmosphere where they feel safe to ask questions. Parents trust me for my high success rate in significantly improving grades, and students appreciate that I’m approachable, encouraging, and committed to their progress.
