About Francesca
I'm a Mechanical Engineering student at Lancaster and I've always been really interested in Maths. I think the way teachers at school communicate Maths is often not really very useful for students, which I've always found quite sad as I think everyone can be good at Maths with the right teacher. I'd love to make a difference by teaching in a useful way, so students can truly understand concepts allowing each student to shine. I'm a friendly, approachable person and I would love to be a safe space for students to discuss what they are confused with in a no-judgement environment, so we can really work on what students are worried about.

I'm a really friendly and capable 22-year-old who excels at STEM communication. I understand that everyone learns in different ways, and I'm able to explain concepts in a way that actually resonates with students. I find it better to explain why something works, using analogies and examples to help students be able to understand concepts and apply to lots of different questions. This makes revision easier, and allows students to get the top grades. I have a 9 in GCSE Maths, and was in the top 0.01% of students that year. I'm happy to provide sessions for 30 mins-2 hours, whatever works best for you! I've worked with students in the past teaching STEM and have had great feedback on my teaching style. I prefer teaching at GCSE and A-level, for exam prep and just general learning.
