About Gracie

I have currently just completed my 5th and final year of studying medicine at the University of Manchester. After undergoing the interview process, I secured offers from all four medical schools I applied to. My success in MMI interviews has given me confidence in my approach. I am also available to carry out UCAT tutoring and have tutored students for this in the past. I offer lessons covering the basics of all the areas of UCAT alongside practice questions for consolidation.

About the lesson

Going through the process of applying to medical school can be stressful. I've personally navigated this process and have also mentored sixth form students before through the process. My lessons are flexible and tailored to what my students want to focus on. Here's what I aim to cover: MMI Interview Style: We'll delve into the style of the MMI interview, discussing what typically happens on the interview day and what you can expect. Common Interview Topics: We'll explore various common interview topics, including ethics and law, reasons for choosing medicine, data interpretation, role play stations, problem-solving stations, and strategies for handling unexpected "wild card" stations that some medical schools might throw at you! Pragmatic Approach to MMI Stations: I'll help you develop a pragmatic approach to MMI interview stations, enabling you to read between the lines and understand what the interviewer is looking for. This skill will empower you to tackle any type of MMI station with confidence. Nervousness Management: I'll share tips and tricks to calm your nerves before and during the interview. It's normal to feel anxious, and having effective strategies can make a significant difference. Answer your question about the Application Process: I'm here to answer any questions you have about the medical school application process and what life in medical school is like. These lessons are specifically designed for students preparing for medical school interviews in Year 13. I'm here to support you through this crucial phase of your academic journey!

For UCAT tutoring I offer lessons covering the basics of each section that makes up the exam, alongside this we will complete practice questions as consolidation. I am also able to answer any general questions about what to expect on the day of your exam and how different universities use this exam during the admissions process.

Perfect! Gracie was absolutely brilliant in her approach to helping me with VR as I struggle with this section a lot . We went through a few questions together and discussed the answers and how to best approach them. I found this really helpful and with further practise I know I can improve my score with Gracie help.
