About Shelly
I'm Shelly, a current MD2 student at The University of Melbourne (UoM). I was accepted into medicine on my first application round, without a biomedical background, and with an average GPA and GAMSAT. I knew what it was like to feel unsure about the application process, but my interview performance made the difference. I'm here to show you that with the right interview preparation, you can stand out and make the MMI your strength. I received MMI tutoring myself from an older MD student, and found that it has helped me tremendously. Before medicine, I completed a BSci in Chemistry, also at UoM. Outside of academics, I enjoy maintaining a healthy work-life balance through painting and yoga.

I can help you prepare for Medical MMIs, research interviews, and interviews for campus roles.
My sessions are designed to help you build your confidence and succeed in MMIs or general interviews. I can help you identify your strengths, weaknesses, and how to stay authentic during interviews. For MMI prep sessions, I am well-versed in key medical ethics and professionalism, and sessions will cover relevant MMI-style questions to help you practise effectively.
Sessions with me will run in 1-hour session blocks. I can meet with you online, on UoM Parkville campus, or in the Melbourne CBD.

1. Accepted into the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at Unimelb
2. Coached 2 students to enter the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at Unimelb and Griffith University
3. Selected for UoM (concealed information) 2024 Intern Cohort (among 55 chosen from over 1,200 applicants)
4. Awarded two paid competitive research assistant roles under university-affiliated institutes
5. Experience as a research assistant at an industry startup
6. Waitlisted for USYD Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program, Cancer Council Research Scholarship, and several other on-campus roles
