About Hamza
I am a student who has just finished the final year of college with predicted grades of 3 A*s (as A-levels were cancelled) and a confirmed place at Manchester University where I will be studying Medicine. The three subjects I took for A-level are Maths, Chemistry and Biology, therefore these are the subjects I am most confident in teaching. Furthermore, I was the first cohort to take the new 1-9 GCSEs in which I achieved straight 9s, hence I intimately know the content and exam style of the new GCSEs. On top of this, I have been teaching my two younger brothers for the past year who are both preparing for the new GCSEs, further consolidating my understanding of the new syllabus.

There are two main points that I focus on when tutoring for Maths and sciences. The first of these will be the content, in which I will use the most updated syllabus and my own attained knowledge from over the years to explain the content and information that a student needs to understand in a given topic. The second point will be to target and improve exam technique through example questions and using the official mark scheme of the exam board to pin point exactly what examiners want in answers. This has proved to be the most important step in ensuring good exam performance in my own experience once you understand the raw material and a step which is often missed by students. I will essentially not only help them learn the exam techniques, but also how to exactly practice these techniques in their own time, ensuring more efficient revision.
