About Emma
Looking back within school, I struggled with the usual methods of learning and revising, so throughout university, I tried to find methods suitable for me and that worked. I believe that finding that method is essential, so firstly I would like to get to know the student I am tutoring and also find out their strengths, weaknesses, and hobbies to see if I can incorporate this into their learning, therefore making the work more engaging. I am always learning new ways and new methods to solve problems, and this comes from my engineering background, and I am willing to work with a student to find the best way for them to study. I understand that learning can be interesting when it becomes easy to learn, and this gives you the confidence to progress at your own pace.

A typical lesson would be an hour; if more time is needed, then it would be as necessary depending on what is being taught. I will grasp an understanding of the curriculum of the subject and school year and form lessons that I believe are doable within the timeframe allocated. I am qualified up to a master's degree level, and I have no prior experience with tutoring other than helping out some friends and family members who have benefited from my help. I can teach from year 7 to year 13, dependent on the subject. I am more tailored towards all of the sciences and maths.
