About Suraj
Growing up, I always took a fascination to tutoring. Whether that was being on the receiving end when I needed help with subjects, or on the giving end, when I recognized students in need of support. I have worked with students of different ages, subjects, and cultures, thus I've learned countless ways of adapting my methods to my students' preferences. All of my students have seen incredible improvement in their performance, and they have all grown very fond of the subjects because I always strive to include real-world applications of course material in my lessons.
As someone who has seen both success and failure, I will help you through your school and professional endeavors, and offer the advice that I've learned through experience so that you can use it early on.

My approach as a tutor starts with first diagnosing my student's current understanding of the material. Next, I try learning what study methods work best for my student, because I know everyone has their own optimal methods of learning. A typical lesson plan may vary, it can involve 1. reviewing and breaking down course material in an understandable manner 2. working through practice test questions together 3. quizzing the student on content 4. allowing some independent time to work, then reconvening to review. I am very flexible and always put the student's priorities first.
Beyond this, I am also able to support with professional development outside of school. As a current medical student, I have learned what sorts of activities and extracurricular endeavors allow for success in being accepted to college and/or postgraduate education. I would be very happy to help with my student's journey beyond academics as well.
